Velztorm Ferrux II desktop

The Velztorm Ferrux II is a new gaming desktop built around a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K processor with 16 cores and 24 threads. It ships with 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for fast storage. The system runs Windows 10 Home and includes a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. It targets users who want a high-core-count CPU and large memory capacity in a pre-built chassis.

Thermals and power

A 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler handles heat from the i9-12900K while the RTX 3050 uses a WINDFORCE 3X cooling solution. The 750W power supply delivers energy to both components and the rest of the platform. Wi-Fi 6 AX200 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide wireless connectivity without adding significant thermal load. A 2.5Gbps RJ-45 port handles wired networking.

Build and connectivity

The black chassis measures 8.1 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 17.9 inches high with a weight of 25.5lb. RGB lighting is integrated into the design. External ports include four USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port and one DisplayPort output. A headphone and microphone combo jack sits on the front panel. No optical drive or card reader is fitted.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler and what step is often missed?

The 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler arrives pre-installed; the step often missed is removing the shipping brackets that secure the radiator and pump during transit before first power-on.

What maintenance or replacement will the 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler need later?

The sealed 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler requires no fluid refills; plan to clean radiator fins and verify fan operation every 6 to 12 months, and replace the unit only if pump noise or temperatures rise abnormally.

What limit appears first on the GeForce RTX 3050 under sustained load?

The GeForce RTX 3050 8GB GDDR6 frame buffer fills first during extended 1440p or high-texture workloads, forcing texture streaming and reducing frame rates before the GPU core hits its thermal ceiling.
