Core Hardware & Audience

The Velztorm Ferrux II is a new gaming desktop built around an Intel Core i9-12900K processor with 16 cores and 24 threads. It includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD for fast storage. The graphics card is a GeForce RTX 3050 with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Suitability & Limits

This system suits players who want strong multi-threaded CPU performance for streaming or content creation alongside 1080p gaming. The single RTX 3050 limits frame rates at higher resolutions or with heavy ray-tracing workloads. Buyers who need more than 16GB of memory or multiple graphics cards should look at a different platform.

Sustained Load Behaviour

A 240mm AIO liquid cooler handles the CPU during extended sessions while a 750W power supply feeds the whole build. The RTX 3050 uses WINDFORCE 3X cooling to manage its own thermals. Under continuous load the components stay within their thermal envelopes without throttling.

Questions about this item

What monitor connection does the Velztorm Ferrux II need for its GeForce RTX 3050?

The graphics card provides one DisplayPort output so a monitor with a DisplayPort input is required.

Will the 2.5Gbps RJ-45 port on this desktop negotiate down to my existing Gigabit switch?

Yes, the 2.5Gbps Ethernet port is backwards compatible and will operate at 1Gbps on older switches.

How can I confirm the 240mm AIO liquid cooler is running after I power on the system?

Check for pump vibration and fan spin at the top radiator, then verify CPU temperatures stay low under load in Windows.
