Velztorm Pilum Gaming Desktop

The Velztorm Pilum is a new gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card. It ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and includes a 750W power supply with a 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler. The system is aimed at players who want a ready-to-use machine for 1440p gaming and multitasking.

Suits 1440p players not streamers

This configuration suits gamers targeting high-refresh 1440p performance in current titles with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a combined 512GB SATA SSD plus 6TB hard drive. Buyers who need more memory for simultaneous streaming or heavy content creation should look at a system with 32GB or 64GB of RAM. The single GPU and fixed storage layout also limit future multi-GPU expansion.

RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6 graphics

The installed GeForce RTX 3060 Ti provides 8GB of GDDR6 video memory on a PCIe 4.0 interface with DirectX 12 and G-SYNC support. This GPU determines the gaming performance ceiling for the build. If your workload requires more video memory or a different GPU tier, this desktop will not match those requirements.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the RTX 3060 Ti use and what bandwidth limit does that set?

The graphics card runs on PCIe 4.0, giving up to 16 GT/s per lane for the GPU link.

What chassis clearance and power connectors does the RTX 3060 Ti require?

The card fits a standard ATX case and draws power from the included 750 W supply via its 8-pin PCIe connector.

How is the 512 GB SATA SSD installed, and what step is often missed?

It mounts in an M.2 slot keyed for SATA; the common mistake is leaving the SATA data cable unplugged from the motherboard.
