Velztorm Pilum Desktop

This Velztorm Pilum desktop is a pre-built gaming system assembled with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor. It includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 750W power supply. Storage combines a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD with a 3TB hard drive. The graphics card is a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB GDDR5 memory.

Suits 1080p gaming and multitasking

The eight-core CPU and 16GB RAM handle modern multitasking and 1080p gameplay on the GTX 1050 Ti. Fast NVMe storage keeps the OS and key titles responsive. Buyers who want higher frame rates at 1440p or 4K resolution should look at a system with a more powerful graphics card.

GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 graphics

The installed GeForce GTX 1050 Ti provides 4GB of GDDR5 video memory and DirectX 12 support. This GPU defines the gaming performance ceiling for this build. If your workload needs more VRAM or compute power, this configuration will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 8-core Ryzen 7 3700X is running at its 4.4 GHz boost clock under load?

Open Task Manager Performance tab or a hardware monitor such as HWInfo and watch the CPU frequency while running a demanding game or benchmark; the 3700X should reach 4.4 GHz on active cores when thermals allow.

What components are included and which must be purchased separately for this Pilum desktop?

The box contains the tower with 16 GB DDR4, 1 TB PCIe SSD, 3 TB HDD, GTX 1050 Ti, 750 W PSU, 120 mm AIO liquid cooler, Wi-Fi, Windows 10 Home, keyboard and mouse; you must add a monitor, speakers or headset, and any extra peripherals.

Should I choose the 1 TB SSD plus 3 TB HDD configuration or a larger SSD option for this model?

The listed build ships with 1 TB NVMe SSD and 3 TB HDD; if you want more solid-state capacity you would need to select a configuration offering a 2 TB PCIe SSD instead, which is available as an alternate listing.
