Velztorm Vertix Gaming Desktop

This Velztorm Vertix is a pre-built gaming desktop that ships with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X eight-core processor, a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory, 64GB of DDR4 system memory and a 1TB SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home is installed and a 750W power supply is fitted. The mini-tower chassis includes a 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler with turquoise RGB lighting. It is aimed at buyers who want a ready-to-use system for high-refresh-rate gaming and content creation.

Verify motherboard socket and DDR4 compatibility

Before ordering, confirm that your existing components use the AM4 socket and DDR4 memory standard, because the installed Ryzen 7 5800X and the 64GB DDR4 modules require both. The board provides two USB 3.1 Gen1, four USB 3.0 Type-A, one USB 3.1 Type-C Gen1 and one USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port, plus HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs. Wi-Fi 6 AX200 and Bluetooth 5.2 are integrated, so no separate wireless card is needed. The 750W supply uses standard ATX connectors.

Fits a compact mini-tower build

The mini-tower form factor saves desk space while housing the liquid-cooled CPU and the dual-slot Radeon RX 6900 XT. The single 1TB SATA SSD leaves internal drive bays free for additional SATA hard drives or SSDs if more capacity is later required. Four memory slots are populated with the 64GB kit, so further RAM upgrades would require module replacement. Front-panel audio jacks and the rear I/O panel cover microphone, headphone and Ethernet connections without extra cables.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a monitor separately?

The box contains the Mini Tower PC with a 750W power supply, a 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler with turquoise RGB lighting, 64GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB SATA SSD, and the Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed. No monitor is included, so you will need to provide your own display.

Should I choose the 1TB SATA SSD or one of the larger SSD options listed?

The 1TB SATA SSD gives you a solid boot drive and space for several large games. If you keep a big library installed at once, the 2TB SSD option removes the need to manage space. The 128GB, 256GB and 512GB sizes are only worth considering if you plan to add a secondary drive immediately.

What does the 4.7 GHz boost clock on the Ryzen 7 5800X mean for actual gaming frame rates?

The 8-core processor can hit 4.7 GHz on lightly threaded game code, keeping minimum frame rates high in CPU-bound scenes. Paired with the RX 6900 XT and 64GB DDR4, the system delivers smooth 1440p and entry-level 4K gameplay in DirectX 12 Ultimate titles.
