What this product is

Verbatim model 94554 is a write-once CD-R disc rated at 700MB capacity and 52X maximum recording speed. Each spindle contains 100 discs branded with the Verbatim logo. They are aimed at users who need to archive digital images, music or general data files on inexpensive optical media.

Installation and common issues

The discs work in any standard CD-R or CD-RW drive that supports 52X writing; simply load a disc and start the burn. Failures usually come from dust or fingerprints on the recording surface, using a drive that cannot reach 52X, or software that selects a speed the media does not support. Keep the spindle closed when not in use to avoid scratches.

Practical limits of the CD-R standard

A single disc holds 700MB or 80 minutes of audio and cannot be erased or rewritten once finalised. Maximum write time is under 2 minutes at 52X, but actual speed depends on the drive and host system. The format is not suitable for large video libraries or system images that exceed the 700MB limit.
