50-pack CD-R spindle

This Verbatim 94691 EMUSIC PROMO pack contains 50 write-once CD-R discs in a spindle. Each disc holds 700MB of data or 80 minutes of audio. The media supports recording speeds up to 52X for quick burning sessions. The purchase includes a code for 100 free MP3 downloads from Emusic.

Home archiving and music

These discs suit anyone building a local backup of documents, photos or audio CDs. They also work well for creating master discs to duplicate later. Buyers who need rewritable media for daily edits or who want inkjet-printable surfaces for labels should look at something else.

52X write speed

The 52X maximum recording speed is the key spec that determines if your drive can use these discs at full performance. Older writers limited to lower speeds will still burn them, but more slowly. Drives rated for 52X or higher will complete a full 700MB disc in under two minutes.
