25 GB BD-R media for HD archiving

This 25-pack spindle of single-layer BD-R discs provides 25 GB capacity per disc for write-once storage. It is suited to users who need to archive high-definition video, photos or large document sets on physical media. The branded printable surface allows direct labelling for easy identification. Each disc is treated with Hard Coat™ to resist scratches during handling.

Capacity and write speed limits

A single disc holds up to 25 GB, enough for over two hours of 1080p high-definition video or equivalent data. The media is rated for a maximum 6x write speed, so large backups complete in a predictable time window. The 16x figure in the model name refers to the product line designation, not the supported burn rate. Users requiring more than 25 GB per disc will need dual-layer or higher-capacity media.

Build integration and drive requirements

These 120 mm discs require a Blu-ray writer that supports BD-R single-layer recording at up to 6x. No additional hardware or software beyond a compatible optical drive and standard burning application is needed. The spindle packaging keeps the 25 discs organised and protected until use. Buyers without a Blu-ray writer cannot use this media.

Questions about this item

Will the 16x rated discs write reliably at 6x in my older BD-R drive?

The discs are rated for up to 16x write speed and will burn at 6x in drives that support that speed.

How can I confirm each disc recorded correctly after burning?

Verify the written data by reading the disc back or running the drive's built-in verify function after the burn completes.

Does the 25-pack spindle include cases or sleeves for the individual discs?

The pack ships as a 25-disc spindle with a branded surface; protective cases or sleeves are not included and must be purchased separately.
