Verbatim AZO 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 50 Pack

This pack contains fifty recordable DVD+R discs manufactured by Verbatim using AZO recording dye. Each disc stores 4.7GB of data or up to 120 minutes of video. The media is rated for a maximum write speed of 16X, completing a full disc in approximately five minutes. The spindle packaging keeps the stack organised and protected.

Upgrade from slower or lower-capacity media

The 16X rating replaces earlier 1X to 8X DVD+R discs, cutting the time needed to archive a full 4.7GB session. The jump is worthwhile when you regularly burn complete discs and want the shortest possible write cycle. Users who only write small incremental backups will not see a proportional benefit from the higher speed rating.

Limited by DVD+R write-once format

The DVD+R standard permits a single recording session; data cannot be erased or rewritten once finalised. Read compatibility extends to the vast majority of DVD-ROM drives and standalone video players. Recording requires a DVD+R writer that supports 1X through 16X speeds; drives limited to DVD-R or CD-R only cannot use this media.

Questions about this item

What disc format and write speed does the 95037 spindle support?

The 95037 discs use the DVD+R format and support a maximum write speed of 16X, recording 4.7GB in about five minutes.

How do I finalise a disc after burning so it plays in standard players?

Select the finalise or close-disc option in your burning software before ejecting; without this step the disc remains open and many DVD players will not read it.

How should I store the 50 discs to maximise archive life?

Keep each disc in its spindle slot, store vertically in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and handle only by the outer edge or centre hole.
