32-Port Cellular Console Server

The Vertiv ACS8032NADAC400 is a 32-port serial console server with integrated cellular connectivity. It provides secure in-band and out-of-band management for downstream IT equipment. The unit targets enterprise data centres, colocation facilities, and edge locations needing resilient remote access.

Dual AC Power and Cellular Failover

Dual AC power inputs supply redundancy for continuous operation in rack environments. Built-in AT&T and Verizon cellular modems enable connectivity when wired networks fail or are unavailable. This combination supports environmental monitoring and IoT integration from a single management gateway.

Replaces Standalone Console and Cellular Gear

The ACS8000 series consolidates a traditional serial console server and a separate cellular router into one rack-mount appliance. The upgrade is worthwhile when a site requires both serial port density and wireless failover without adding extra rack units or management complexity.

Questions about this item

How does the 32-port cellular console server handle network failover?

The ACS8032NADAC400 provides cellular failover using AT&T and Verizon networks to maintain out-of-band access when the primary wired network is down, keeping critical equipment reachable during outages.

What physical form factor does the ACS8032NADAC400 use for rack mounting?

The unit is a rack shelf type appliance that mounts in a standard equipment rack, occupying shelf space rather than a traditional 1U or 2U slot, and includes the necessary brackets for secure installation.

What is the correct way to connect the dual AC power inputs on this console server?

Connect each AC inlet to a separate power distribution unit or circuit so the ACS8032NADAC400 maintains operation if one feed fails; the step often missed is verifying both feeds are live before commissioning the device.
