Single-cable KVM link for SC 800DP
This six-foot assembly bundles dual DisplayPort video, USB keyboard and mouse, and 3.5 mm audio into one black cable. It is built for administrators who need a tidy connection between a target computer and a compatible Vertiv Avocent secure desktop KVM switch.
Passive copper construction carries signals
The cable relies on its internal conductors to deliver video, USB and audio over the full six-foot run. No external power or signal conditioning is required, so reliability depends on the quality of the copper and shielding rather than on any onboard circuitry.
Plug the matching connectors into the switch
Both ends present identical 20-pin DisplayPort, USB Type B and 3.5 mm mini-phone plugs, so orientation is straightforward. The only common issue is attempting to use the cable with switches outside the SC 800DP or 900DP series, which the design does not support.

Questions about this item
How much heat or fan noise does the CBL0106 add when it runs all day?
The cable is passive, so it produces no heat or noise of its own during continuous use.
Which KVM switch models must I already own for this cable to work?
It is designed for Vertiv Avocent SC 800DP and 900DP series switches, including the SC940D secure KVM.
Will the dual DisplayPort and USB connectors work with older target computers that only have single DisplayPort or USB 2.0 ports?
Both ends carry dual DisplayPort, USB Type B and 3.5 mm audio, so each connected computer needs matching dual DisplayPort, USB Type B and audio jacks.
