What this cable does
The Vertiv CBL0108 is a 10 ft KVM cable that combines two USB links, two DisplayPort links and a 3.5 mm audio connection in one assembly. It is built for administrators who manage servers through Vertiv Avocent SC 800DP and 900DP series switches.
Length and connector limits
The 10 ft length sets the maximum distance between the target computer and the KVM switch. Each end carries two USB Type B to Type A leads, two DisplayPort male plugs and one mini-phone 3.5 mm plug, so all signals share the same reach.
Installation notes
Route the bundled leads together to avoid strain on any single connector. The DisplayPort plugs seat firmly but can loosen if the cable is pulled sideways, and the 3.5 mm jack may need a gentle twist to lock fully.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 10 ft length or the 6 ft version for my Avocent SC 800DP switch?
The 10 ft cable gives extra reach for rack layouts where the switch sits farther from the target computer, while the 6 ft version suits tighter setups; both share identical connector sets and DPP support.
What does the 10 ft length mean once the cable is routed inside a real rack?
At 10 ft you can span a full-height rack from a top-mounted KVM switch to a mid-rack server with enough slack for cable management arms and future re-seating.
Which interfaces are on this cable and what do they cap in practice?
Two USB Type B to Type A links carry keyboard and mouse, two DisplayPort male connectors carry dual video, and a 3.5 mm mini-phone jack carries stereo audio; DPP support enables CAC smart-card use.
