True On-Line UPS for Critical IT Equipment

The Vertiv GXT3-1000MT120 is a true on-line UPS that delivers continuous, high-quality AC power with no break when transferring to battery. It protects connected IT equipment from virtually all power disturbances including blackouts, brownouts, sags, surges, and noise interference. The unit provides a seamless flow of clean sine wave power for mission-critical applications. It is designed for essential and critical applications requiring on-line protection.

Sustained Load Runtime and Recharge

At a full load of 900 W the internal battery provides a runtime of 0.08 hour. Reducing the load to half at 450 W extends the runtime to 0.25 hour. After a discharge event the battery requires 3 hours to recharge. This behaviour defines the practical window available for safe shutdown or generator start-up during extended outages.

120 VAC Output and USB Management

The UPS operates from an input range of 110 V AC and 40 to 70 Hz, delivering selectable output at 115 V AC or 127 V AC through six NEMA 5-15R outlets. A USB interface port enables communication with management software for monitoring and automated shutdown. Approvals include UL 1778, cUL, FCC Part 15 Class A, IEC 62040-2, and ISTA Procedure 1A.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise does the 1000 VA 900 W on-line UPS produce when it runs continuously?

The unit operates as a true on-line UPS with continuous double-conversion, so its internal inverter and cooling fans run whenever the UPS is powered on. Expect a steady low-level fan hum and warm exhaust air from the rear vents during all-day operation.

What cables or accessories must I already have to connect equipment to the six NEMA 5-15R outlets and the USB port?

You need standard NEMA 5-15P power cords for each device you plug into the six rear outlets and a USB A-to-B cable if you want to use the USB communication port for monitoring software.

Will the 127 V or 115 V AC output work safely with older 120 V rated servers and network gear I plan to keep?

Yes. The UPS provides selectable 115 V or 127 V AC sine-wave output, both within the tolerance of legacy 120 V equipment, and the on-line topology ensures zero transfer time during power events.
