Adjustable airflow channel for network gear

The Vertiv Geist Switchair module directs cool air from the front of a rack to the intake side of switches, load balancers and routers mounted at the top or rear. It telescopes from 12.75 inches to 21 inches (323.8 mm to 533.4 mm) to match varying equipment depths. This passive duct reduces the risk of overheating and premature failure by ensuring network devices receive the same cold-aisle temperature as other rack-mounted hardware.

Suited for racks with side- or rear-intake switches

The module fits installations where network equipment cannot draw front-to-rear airflow directly from the cold aisle. It helps maintain consistent intake temperatures and limits hot-air recirculation caused by missing blanking panels. Operations that rely on front-to-rear cooled switches with aligned intakes will not need this duct.

Telescoping range of 12.75 to 21 inches

The adjustable length is the critical dimension; verify that your switch chassis depth falls within this span before ordering. If the equipment sits deeper than 21 inches or shallower than 12.75 inches, the module cannot bridge the airflow gap.
