20U Open Frame Rack for Tight Spaces

This 20U open frame server rack fits a standard 19-inch mounting width and a compact 23-inch depth. It is built for installers who need a dense equipment layout in retail, classroom or office environments. The frame is constructed from Q235 carbon steel with welded joints.

Floor or Wall Mount with Vented Trays

The rack supports 500 lb when floor-standing and 200 lb when wall-mounted. Two vented trays and a top shelf provide airflow and extra storage for networking or AV gear. Included screws and a user manual simplify assembly on site.

Replaces Bulky Cabinets in Shallow Areas

Choose this rack when a full-depth cabinet cannot fit but you still need 20U of vertical capacity. It is not suited for installations that require lockable side panels or deeper equipment bays beyond the 23-inch depth.

Questions about this item

What standard 19 in mounting width does the 20U rack use?

The rack follows the 19 in (482 mm) EIA standard, so any 19 in rack-mount server, switch, or patch panel will bolt directly to the tapped rails.

How much floor space and clearance does the 23 in deep frame need?

The frame footprint is 23 in (585 mm) deep; allow at least that depth plus a few inches front and rear for cable routing and the included vented trays.

How do I secure the rack to a wall stud, and what mistake should I avoid?

Lag-bolt the four wall-mount brackets into wood studs or concrete anchors, then torque the bolts — skipping the bottom brackets cuts the 200 lb (90.7 kg) wall rating in half.
