Two-Pack 30-Ton Recovery Shackles
This pair of alloy-steel D-ring shackles is rated for a 30-ton breaking strength and an 8-ton work load limit, making them suitable for heavy off-road recovery of Jeeps, trucks and similar vehicles. Each shackle uses #45 steel for the ring and 40Cr steel for the 7/8-inch screw pin.
Threaded Pin with Isolators
The 7/8-inch screw pin threads directly into the shackle ears, so no tools are required beyond hand tightening; the included isolators and washers reduce metal-on-metal noise and protect the pin threads from dirt. Over-tightening the pin after a load can make it difficult to unscrew by hand later.
Check Pin Diameter and Inner Clearance
Verify that your recovery points, tow hooks or snatch-block openings accept a 22 mm pin and that the 52.8 mm inner diameter clears your strap, rope or chain thimble. The 21.5 mm wire diameter determines the minimum bend radius for any synthetic or wire rope you intend to use.

Questions about this item
How do I verify the 3/4 inch D-ring shackle is seated correctly after installation?
The 7/8 inch screw pin should thread fully into the #45 steel body until the 0.85 inch wire diameter bow sits flush, with the black 40Cr steel pin showing no gap and the red isolators compressed evenly.
What comes in the package and what must I supply myself?
The box contains two complete shackles each with a 7/8 inch pin, red isolators and washers already fitted; you only need to provide a compatible recovery strap or winch line that fits the 2.08 inch inner diameter.
Which capacity should I choose for a Jeep recovery kit?
This 30 ton breaking strength model with an 8 ton work load limit suits typical Jeep and truck recovery; select it when your maximum expected pull stays below 17636.98 lbs.
