Solar-Powered Pathway Set

This 12-pack of white solar pathway lights uses mono-crystalline panels to charge 1.2 V 600 mAh Ni-MH batteries during daylight. Each unit holds six LEDs producing 400-500 Lux output. The die-cast aluminum shell carries an IP68 rating and withstands 99208 lbs of pressure for driveways, paths and steps.

Upgrade From Wired Low-Voltage Systems

The lights replace wired landscape kits that need a transformer and trench work. Solar charging removes cable runs and outdoor outlets, so the jump makes sense when adding illumination to an existing hardscape without disturbing pavers or lawn. Each fixture installs with the two supplied screws and sits flush at 3.5 x 4 x 1 in.

Limits Of Integrated Solar Charging

A single day of sun yields roughly 40 hours of light; a full charge extends runtime past 80 hours. Output drops in prolonged overcast or shaded positions because the 2.5 V 120 mAh panel cannot replenish the battery fast enough. Operating range spans -20 to 70 °C, but extreme cold reduces Ni-MH capacity and shortens nightly duration.

Questions about this item

What surface area does each 3.5 x 4 x 1 in light need for the 24 included screws?

Each light measures 3.5 x 4 x 1 in and uses two screws from the 24-piece pack, so plan for a flat mounting spot at least that large per unit.

How do I install the 12 solar dock lights so the mono-crystalline 2.5 V/120 mAh panel charges the 1.2 V/600 mAh Ni MH battery?

Place each unit on a level surface with the panel facing skyward, drive the two supplied screws through the base, and ensure no shade falls on the panel during peak sun.

When should I replace the 1.2 V/600 mAh Ni MH battery in these IP68 lights?

The manufacturer rates the battery life at 3-5 years; swap it when nightly run time drops well below the 40-hour single-day charge figure.
