Each unit uses a built-in Sony CCD colour DSP to deliver 480 TV Lines of horizontal resolution through a 3.6 mm wide-angle lens. The cameras connect via BNC video cable and require a separate analog DVR, monitor and cabling to operate. They are intended for installers maintaining or expanding legacy NTSC installations.

480 TVL resolution and fixed 3.6 mm lens

The 480 TV Line sensor provides standard-definition detail sufficient for general overview monitoring of entrances, yards or interior spaces. The fixed 3.6 mm focal length gives a wide field of view but no optical zoom, so distant faces or licence plates will not be resolvable. Low-light performance relies on digital automatic backlight compensation rather than infrared illumination, so night-time coverage is limited without external lighting.

Weatherproof housings

Each aluminium housing is rated for indoor and outdoor mounting and ships with a swivel bracket for flexible aiming. Two 4-channel 12 V DC power supplies are bundled to drive all eight cameras at 500 mA each, simplifying the power infrastructure. The system assumes an existing analog DVR with BNC inputs; it will not interface with modern HD, IP or wireless recorders.
