Eight-camera indoor kit

The VideoSecu DM10W8 package supplies eight wired dome cameras for analog CCTV installations. Each unit uses a colour CCD sensor that delivers 420 TV lines of horizontal resolution through a 3.6 mm wide-angle lens. The cameras require a separate DVR for recording and are not compatible with HD or wireless systems.

Check DVR and cabling first

Your recorder must accept analogue BNC video inputs and provide 12 V DC power for each camera. The signal format is NTSC with 510 by 492 effective pixels, so the DVR must support that standard. Minimum illumination is rated at 1.0 lux at F1.2, so verify the intended locations have adequate lighting.

Upgrades basic fixed-lens units

These domes replace single fixed-position cameras by adding 360-degree horizontal and 90-degree vertical manual adjustment. Auto white balance and backlight compensation improve foreground detail against bright backgrounds. The jump is worthwhile when installers need flexible aiming and wide coverage across multiple indoor zones.
