VideoSecu DM304 Dome Camera Kit

The VideoSecu DM304 kit supplies four dome cameras for wired analog CCTV systems. Each unit uses a Sony Super HAD CCD sensor and a fixed 3.6 mm wide-angle lens. The cameras connect via BNC video and 2.1 mm DC power plugs. A four-channel 12 V power supply is included in the package.

480 TVL Resolution and Low-Light Limits

The cameras deliver a maximum of 480 TV lines over an NTSC signal. Minimum illumination is rated at .8 lux, so image quality degrades in darker scenes. The fixed 3.6 mm lens cannot be swapped for narrower or wider fields of view. These are analog devices and will not work with HD or IP recorders.

12 V Power Draw and Manual Aiming

Each camera draws 500 mA at 12 V DC from the supplied supply. The dome housing allows 360-degree horizontal and 90-degree vertical adjustment by hand. Lens tilt can be set manually up to 90 degrees vertically. No active cooling or fan is present, so operation is silent.

Questions about this item

Will these four cameras work with my existing analog DVR that uses BNC inputs?

Yes, each camera outputs analog video over a BNC connector using the NTSC signal system, so they connect directly to any DVR with BNC video inputs.

How can I verify the cameras are producing a usable picture after I mount them?

Check that the monitor shows a clear 480 TV line image at 0.8 lux minimum illumination and that the 3.6 mm wide angle lens covers the intended area.

What comes in the box and what extra items do I need to buy?

The package includes four dome cameras, one four channel 12 V 500 mA power supply with 2.1 mm center positive plugs, and a warning decal; you must supply a compatible DVR and BNC cables.
