Four-camera kit for analog DVR systems

This set includes four dome cameras and a single four-channel power supply designed to work with a CCTV DVR. Each camera uses a 1/3 inch Sony Effio CCD sensor to deliver 600 TV lines of horizontal resolution. The package is intended for installers building or expanding a wired analog surveillance system.

Wired BNC connection and versatile mounting

Every camera terminates in a BNC video connector and a 2.1 mm centre-positive power plug that draws 12 V DC at 500 mA from the included supply. The three-axis dome design lets you mount each unit on a wall or ceiling and adjust the viewing angle without tools. Cables must be run to the recorder because the system is fully wired.

600 TVL analog resolution limit

The cameras output standard-definition analog video at 600 TV lines and use an NTSC signal system with a 3.6 mm wide-angle lens. They will not connect to HD, IP or wireless recorders and require a compatible analog DVR for recording. Buyers needing high-definition or network-based capture should choose a different technology.

Questions about this item

What resolution does the BNC analog output cap at?

The cameras deliver 600 TV lines over the BNC connection, which is the maximum horizontal resolution the analog signal supports.

What mounting surfaces and hardware are required?

Each dome has a 3-axis bracket that fits flat against a wall or ceiling; you only need screws or anchors suitable for the surface material.

How do I connect power and video, and which step is often missed?

Plug the 2.1 mm centre-positive connector into each camera and the BNC into the DVR, then power the 4-channel supply; the step most people forget is seating the BNC twist-lock fully so the picture appears.
