Eight-camera analogue kit

The VideoSecu DM52SEK8 supplies eight wired dome cameras for CCTV systems that record to a compatible DVR. Each unit uses a 1/3 inch Sony Effio CCD sensor and colour DSP to deliver 600 TV lines of horizontal resolution. A 3.6 mm wide-angle lens provides broad coverage for indoor or outdoor mounting. Two four-channel 12 V DC power supplies are included in the pack.

Continuous analogue operation

The cameras draw 500 mA at 12 V DC and connect through BNC video plus a 2.1 mm centre-positive power plug. With no wireless link or onboard storage, video streams constantly to the DVR without compression artefacts or bandwidth limits. Auto electronic shutter and dynamic noise reduction maintain usable footage down to 0.002 lux minimum illumination. The three-axis dome design allows precise aiming on walls or ceilings during long-term deployment.

Analogue-only compatibility

These cameras output standard NTSC analogue video over coaxial cable and will not work with HD, IP or wireless recorders. A CCTV DVR with BNC inputs is required for recording and remote viewing. Buyers needing network streaming, megapixel resolution or wireless installation must choose a different technology.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does each dome camera produce when running continuously?

The cameras are passive analog units with no moving parts or fans, so they generate minimal heat and operate silently on 12 V DC power.

What additional equipment is required to record video from these cameras?

You need an analog CCTV DVR with BNC inputs, coaxial cable for each camera run, and the two supplied 4-channel 12 V power adapters.

Will these 600 TVL analog cameras work alongside an existing HD-SDI or IP recorder?

No, they output standard-definition analog video over BNC and are not compatible with HD-SDI, IP or other digital recording systems.
