VideoSecu DM52SEKC Analog Dome Camera

The VideoSecu DM52SEKC is a wired analog dome camera designed for CCTV surveillance systems. It uses a 1/3 inch Sony Effio CCD sensor to deliver 600 TV lines of horizontal resolution. A fixed 3.6 mm wide-angle lens provides a broad field of view. The package includes the camera, a 12 V DC power supply, a combined video and power cable, and a warning sticker.

Suits Analog DVR Systems Not HD or Wireless

This camera suits installers expanding or maintaining an analog CCTV system that records to a compatible DVR via BNC connection. It is not for buyers who need HD digital resolution, IP network connectivity, or wireless installation. It also does not suit setups requiring varifocal lens adjustment or motorised pan and tilt functions.

Fixed 3.6 mm Wide-Angle Lens

The lens focal length is fixed at 3.6 mm, which determines the viewing angle and cannot be changed after purchase. Buyers needing a narrower or adjustable field of view should select a camera with a varifocal or different fixed lens. The fixed wide angle is the key specification that decides if this camera fits the intended coverage area.

Questions about this item

What is the diameter of the power plug on this VideoSecu DM52SEKC camera?

The camera uses a 2.1 mm centre-positive power plug, and a matching 12 V DC 500 mA supply is included in the box.

What is the common mistake when wiring the BNC and power connections on this dome camera?

Forgetting to seat the BNC twist-lock fully and reversing the 2.1 mm power plug polarity are the two errors that leave the camera with no video or no power.

The included 12 V DC 500 mA power supply and the combined video-power cable are the items most likely to require replacement after extended outdoor use.
