All-in-one covert camera DVR

The VideoSecu DVRSD30-N1 combines an IR covert camera with a mini DVR in a single gray housing. It uses a CCD sensor with a 3.7mm wide-angle lens to capture 420 TV lines of resolution. Human body heat detection triggers recording without external sensors. The unit is designed for discreet placement in homes, offices or warehouses.

Bundled power supply enables immediate operation

A 5V power supply is included in the package so the recorder can be powered straight from a mains outlet. The built-in rechargeable battery provides backup power if the mains connection is interrupted. On-screen menus let you choose between time-based or motion-activated recording and allow frame-by-frame playback. No separate DVR or complex wiring is required.

Records to removable SD card for flexible storage

Footage is stored on an SD memory card which is not supplied with the unit. Card capacity determines how many hours of 420 TV line video can be retained before overwriting occurs. Video can be reviewed on any composite monitor or by removing the card and importing files into a computer. Buyers needing continuous multi-camera recording or network streaming will find this single-channel analog device insufficient.

Questions about this item

Does the built-in rechargeable battery need periodic replacement?

The unit ships with a built-in rechargeable battery; battery lifespan depends on recording frequency and temperature, so plan to replace it when run-time noticeably shortens.

What limits continuous recording time on this DVRSD30-N1?

Recording duration is limited by the SD card capacity (card not included) and the built-in battery charge; the device stops when either fills or depletes.

How much heat or noise does the camera produce during all-day operation?

The CCD sensor and compact DVR run silently with minimal heat; the 5 V power supply stays cool during typical motion-activated recording sessions.
