50ft 12V DC extension cable for surveillance

This 50ft 12V DC power extension cable carries a 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel connector and is intended for CCTV cameras, DVRs or any device that uses a matching 12V adapter. The pigtail design lets you bridge the gap between a power supply and equipment located further away without splicing. It arrives ready to use with no configuration required.

Check connector size and voltage drop before

Verify that your existing power adapter and device both use a 2.1mm inner by 5.5mm outer barrel jack and operate at 12V DC. The supplier notes that from 20ft upwards resistance can cause a noticeable voltage drop, so confirm the adapter can still deliver sufficient power at the full 50ft length. Ensure the polarity of the plug matches your equipment to avoid damage.

Simple pigtail build with standard barrel ends

The cable uses a straightforward pigtail construction with a male and female 2.1mm x 5.5mm connector on each end for plug-and-play installation. No tools or soldering are needed; the connectors seat firmly for a reliable connection in typical indoor or sheltered outdoor surveillance setups. The 50ft length provides flexible routing around corners or through conduit.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a power adapter separately?

The box contains one 50ft pigtail extension cable. A 12V DC power adapter with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm plug is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which connector size should I choose for my camera?

Choose this cable if your camera or DVR requires a 2.1mm inner diameter and 5.5mm outer diameter DC plug.

Will the 50ft length cause voltage drop for my 12V camera?

From 20ft and up, resistance and power drop may become noticeable. Ensure your 12V adapter can supply enough power over the full 50ft run.
