Analog dome camera for legacy DVR systems

The VideoSecu VD21WKC-N1 is a wired analog dome camera designed to integrate with existing traditional DVR recorders using a BNC connection. It delivers 480 TV lines of horizontal resolution through a 1/3 inch CCD sensor and a fixed 3.6 mm wide-angle lens. The white vandal-proof aluminium housing is rated for both indoor and outdoor installation. Twenty infrared LEDs provide night vision down to 0.0 lux when active.

Simple BNC wiring with included power supply

Installation requires running a coaxial video cable from the camera BNC output to the DVR and connecting the supplied DC 12V power adapter. The package includes a video power cable and a warning sticker to streamline the setup. The most common issue is attempting to connect this camera to modern HD or IP recorders; it will not function with AHD, TVI, CVI or network video recorders. Verify that the existing DVR accepts standard analog CVBS signals before purchase.

Suits owners of older analog DVRs needing

This camera is intended for users who operate a legacy analog DVR system approximately ten years old and need a direct replacement dome unit. It is not suitable for anyone building a new surveillance system, adding cameras to an HD-over-coax recorder, or seeking wireless or Wi-Fi connectivity. Buyers without a compatible analog DVR, monitor and cabling already in place should look at modern digital kits instead.

How can I verify the camera is working correctly after connecting it to my DVR?

Connect the BNC video cable and 12V DC power adapter to a compatible analog DVR and monitor; the image should switch from colour to black-and-white when light drops and the 20 IR LEDs should illuminate for night vision.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes the dome camera, a power adapter, a video power cable and a warning sticker; you must supply an analog DVR, monitor and any additional cabling yourself.

Which version should I choose if I have an older analog DVR system?

This VD21WKC-N1 model provides 480 TV lines resolution, a 3.6 mm wide-angle lens and 20 infrared LEDs, making it a direct match for legacy analog DVRs that accept standard BNC input.
