What the kit contains

This bundle includes eight dome cameras, each using a 1/3 inch Sony Super HAD CCD sensor that delivers 480 TV lines of horizontal resolution. Every unit has a fixed 3.6mm wide-angle lens and 28 infrared LEDs for 0.0 lux night vision. All cameras are powered by individual 12V DC supplies included in the box. The metal housings are rated vandal proof and weatherproof for indoor or outdoor mounting.

What to verify before ordering

These cameras output analogue video over BNC connectors and require a compatible DVR, coaxial cable and monitor that are not supplied. They will not work with IP or HD-SDI recorders, nor with any wireless bridge. Each camera needs a nearby 12V DC power point for its dedicated adapter. The fixed 3.6mm lens cannot be changed, so the field of view is set at the wide angle stated.

What the bundled items change

The eight included power supplies mean every camera can be powered independently without a separate distribution box. A free warning sticker is also supplied for site signage. No video cable, connectors, DVR or monitoring hardware are provided, so those must be sourced separately to complete a working CCTV system.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need anything else to make the 8 cameras work?

The package includes 8 dome cameras, 8 power supplies and a warning sticker. You must also provide a DVR with BNC inputs, coaxial cable and a monitor to view footage.

How do I decide which lens or resolution variant to pick for this kit?

All 8 cameras share the same 3.6 mm wide-angle lens and 480 TVL Sony Super HAD CCD sensor; there are no alternative lens or resolution options in this kit.

What does the 480 TVL figure mean once the cameras are connected to my DVR?

480 TV lines is the maximum horizontal resolution the analog sensor delivers over the BNC connection; it determines the detail level recorded by a standard-definition DVR.
