Outdoor day/night CCTV camera

The VideoSecu VD3HBE is a wired analog dome camera built for continuous surveillance. It uses a 1/3" Sony Effio CCD sensor and color DSP to deliver 700 TV lines of horizontal resolution. Twenty-eight infrared LEDs provide night vision, automatically switching from color daytime video to black-and-white in low light. The weatherproof aluminum housing supports wall or ceiling mounting.

Analog BNC limits and compatibility

This camera outputs standard-definition video over a coaxial BNC connection and requires a compatible DVR, monitor and cabling that are not included. It will not work with HD-SDI, HD-CVI, HD-TVI, AHD or IP network recorders. The 3.6 mm fixed wide-angle lens offers a set field of view that cannot be adjusted remotely. Maximum resolution is capped at 700 TV lines by the analog format.

Simple wired installation

A 12 V DC power supply is included, so only a single coaxial run and power connection are needed at each mounting point. The dome base accepts ceiling or wall brackets without special tools. Common issues include ground-loop interference on long cable runs, voltage drop if the 12 V feed is undersized, and water ingress if the cable gland is not sealed after wiring.
