The VideoSecu VD4090P is a wired BNC dome camera built around a 1/4 inch CCD sensor that delivers 420 TV lines of resolution. It targets installers adding a single weatherproof camera to an existing analog DVR system. The manual 4-9 mm varifocal lens lets the installer set the exact field of view on site without replacing the lens. Power is supplied externally at 12 V DC.

Passive cooling and 36 IR LEDs

The aluminum housing relies on natural convection so the camera runs silently with no fan noise. Thirty-six infrared LEDs activate automatically when ambient light drops, providing 0 lux black-and-white night vision while the IR cut filter switches the image from daytime colour to monochrome. Current draw is rated at 500 mA at 12 V, so the thermal load stays low in continuous operation.

Replaces fixed-lens analog domes

This model upgrades installations that used fixed-focal-length analog domes and needed on-site view adjustment.
