Analog dome camera with BNC output

The VideoSecu VD6HWBKC is a wired dome camera built around a 1/3 inch Sony CCD sensor delivering 600 TV lines of horizontal resolution. A 3.6 mm wide-angle lens covers a broad field of view while twenty integrated infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 65 feet in total darkness. The vandal-resistant aluminium housing is rated for indoor and outdoor mounting on ceilings or walls.

Suited for analog CCTV expansions.

Installers extending an existing analog DVR installation will find the BNC video connection and NTSC signal format directly compatible. Buyers who need network streaming, PoE power, or megapixel resolution should look at IP-based cameras instead. The camera requires a separate 12 V DC power source and a DVR with available BNC inputs, neither of which are included.

600 TV lines over BNC decides compatibility

The single specification that determines whether this camera fits your system is the 600 TV line analog output carried over a BNC connector. It matches legacy DVRs that record standard-definition NTSC footage and cannot accept digital or high-definition video streams. Verify that your recorder supports analog BNC channels before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the VD6HWBKC dome camera ship with a power supply and video cable, or must they be purchased separately?

The package includes the dome camera, a DC 12 V power supply, an audio-video-power extension cable with BNC and 2.1 mm connectors, a mini microphone and a warning sticker.

How does the 3.6 mm wide-angle lens affect the field of view compared with a narrower lens on this model?

The 3.6 mm lens gives a wide viewing angle suited for general indoor or outdoor coverage; a longer focal length would narrow the field but is not offered on this camera.

What does the 600 TV lines resolution mean when the camera is connected to a standard DVR?

It delivers up to 600 TV lines of horizontal resolution over the analog BNC output, which a compatible DVR records at full D1 quality in NTSC format.
