Two-pack analog dome cameras

This set includes two wired dome cameras that connect via BNC video cables to a compatible digital video recorder. Each unit uses a built-in 1/3" Sony Effio CCD sensor with automatic CDS switching for day and night operation. The cameras are rated for indoor and outdoor installation and come with two 12 V DC power supplies and a warning sticker. They are sold new and ready for integration into an existing analog CCTV system.

600 TVL resolution with 28 IR LEDs

The sensors deliver up to 600 TV lines of horizontal resolution, which is the maximum detail this analog format can record. Twenty-eight infrared LEDs provide illumination when ambient light drops, automatically switching the image to black and white for night viewing. The fixed 3.6 mm wide-angle lens gives a broad field of view suitable for general coverage of rooms, entrances or yards. Performance is limited to standard-definition analog output and cannot be recorded by HD or IP recorders.

BNC wired connection only

These cameras transmit analog video over coaxial cable with BNC connectors and require a separate DVR, cabling and monitor that are not included. They do not support wireless transmission, IP networking or any high-definition analogue standards such as AHD, TVI or CVI. Buyers who need HD resolution, network streaming or wireless installation should choose a different technology. The package provides the cameras and power supplies only.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.6 mm BNC cameras connect to my existing analogue DVR?

Yes, each dome outputs a standard BNC video signal that plugs straight into any analogue DVR with BNC inputs.

How can I confirm the 28 IR LEDs are switching on at night?

Cover the lens or wait for darkness; the image on your monitor will flip from colour to black-and-white when the LEDs activate.

The box lists two power supplies — do I need any other cables or connectors?

You still need BNC video cable (or pre-made Siamese cable) for each camera run to the DVR; the kit only includes the cameras and 12 V adapters.
