ViewSonic PJ355 160W Lamp

The ViewSonic PJ355 is a new 160W replacement projector lamp module supplied with a Philips UHB bulb pre-fitted in its housing. It is intended for users whose ViewSonic projector requires the DT00781 lamp and who want a direct swap without separate bulb handling.

Build fit and installation

The unit arrives fully assembled so it slots straight into the compatible projector without extra tools or alignment steps. Replacing the spent module restores the rated 2000 hours of lamp life and frees the owner from sourcing a bare bulb and carrier separately.

Who this suits and who it does not

This lamp suits owners of ViewSonic models that specify the PJ355 or DT00781 part and who prefer an OEM-sourced Philips UHB module. It is not for buyers whose projector uses a different lamp code, those needing a higher-wattage or longer-life alternative, or anyone looking for a bare bulb without housing.

Questions about this item

How long will the 160 W lamp last before it needs replacing?

The lamp is rated for 2,000 hours of operation, so typical daily use gives months of service before a change is required.

Does the 160 W bulb generate noticeable heat or fan noise during extended sessions?

A 160 W UHB lamp produces significant heat; the projector's built-in cooling system handles it, so expect the normal fan sound you hear with any lamp of this wattage.

Which ViewSonic projectors accept the DT00781 module without extra parts?

The PJ355 lamp module fits the ViewSonic projectors designed for the DT00781 part number; no additional adapters or cables are needed for installation.
