The drive is rated for enhanced durability and longevity, supporting consistent operation across the 10 included M-Discs and standard media. Tray loading adds mechanical simplicity for repeated use.

Questions about this item

How much power does the USB 3.0 connection draw when the drive runs all day?

The slim DVD burner operates from the USB 3.0 port without an external power adapter, so it stays within standard bus power limits during extended use.

What does the buyer need to already own for the M-Disc 10 disc spindle to be usable?

A computer with a free USB 3.0 port and an operating system that recognises external optical drives is all that is required to write the included M-Disc media.

Will the tray-load mechanism work reliably alongside an older internal DVD drive still installed in the same PC?

Yes, the external USB 3.0 drive appears as a separate device and does not conflict with any internal optical drive already present.
