What this product is

VinPower OQBDR06LT-50 is a spindle of fifty write-once Blu-ray discs. Each disc holds twenty-five gigabytes and supports a maximum recording speed of six times. The media uses a blue-violet laser to store high-definition video or large data files. The top surface carries a printed logo and is not printable.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This pack suits anyone archiving high-definition video or large data sets to single-layer Blu-ray media. It is not suited for buyers who need rewritable discs or inkjet-printable surfaces. It is also not suited for users who require dual-layer capacity or faster write speeds than six times.

How it fits into a build

The discs work with any Blu-ray writer that supports twenty-five gigabyte BD-R media at six times speed. A full twenty-five gigabyte disc can be written in roughly sixteen minutes. Each disc can hold up to two hours of high-definition video or ten hours of standard-definition video. The spindle packaging keeps the fifty discs organised and protected.

Questions about this item

Does my burner need to support 6X BD-R writing to use these discs?

Yes, a Blu-ray writer rated for 6X BD-R is required to reach the 16-minute burn time for a full 25GB disc.

Can I add these 25GB discs to an archive that already uses single-layer DVD media?

Each BD-R holds five times the data of a standard DVD, so fewer discs are needed for the same volume.

How can I confirm a disc burned correctly at 6X speed?

Verify the session in your burning software and check that the total write time was close to 16 minutes for 25GB.
