Outdoor bullet camera with solar power

The visiPower QF624 is a 3MP bullet camera designed for outdoor monitoring where mains power is unavailable. It integrates a foldable 20W solar panel and a built-in lithium battery that sustains continuous recording for up to seven days without sun. The metal housing meets IP66 waterproof rating for year-round exposure.

Limits of 2.4GHz wifi and local storage

The camera connects via 2.4GHz wifi, which penetrates walls better than higher bands but offers less bandwidth for high-resolution streams. H.265 compression reduces the data rate of the 2048x1536 video feed. Footage can be saved to a cloud subscription or a local microSD card, so recording continues if the internet link drops.

Upgrade from fixed wired cameras

This model replaces fixed wired cameras that require separate power cabling and a network video recorder. The pan-tilt mechanism covers 355° horizontally and 100° vertically at speeds up to 55° and 40° per second. PIR plus AI humanoid detection triggers real-time mobile alerts within a 12m range and 95° angle. Dual infrared and white LEDs provide 30m colour night vision.

Questions about this item

Which version of the visiPower QF624 should I choose for outdoor use?

The QF624 is a single bullet-style model with a 3.6 mm lens, 3 MP resolution and an IP66 metal case, so there are no alternative versions to select for outdoor installation.

What does the 3 MP resolution mean when the camera is recording?

It captures video at 2048 x 1536 pixels using H.265 compression, giving detailed 3 MP footage both day and night.

How does the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi interface limit the camera in practice?

The camera connects only via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, so it works with common routers but cannot use 5 GHz bands; PIR and AI humanoid detection trigger real-time alerts up to 12 m away.
