Purpose & Audience

This Vivitar 52mm Telephoto Lens Kit is built for Canon DSLR owners who want extra reach without buying a dedicated telephoto lens. It suits enthusiasts and professionals using models such as the EOS 750D or 760D, as well as compatible Rebel and EOS bodies, who need a simple way to magnify distant subjects.

Installation Notes

The 58mm 2.2x attachment screws onto the front of any lens with a 58mm filter thread, so verifying that diameter before ordering is essential. Multi-coated glass optics reduce flare and ghosting, while the steel barrel adds durability; a carrying case and caps are included for protection during storage and travel.

Sustained Use Behaviour

Optical quality remains consistent during extended shooting sessions because the coated elements resist internal reflections that can build up in bright conditions. The bundled 100-piece lens tissue pack and 3-piece cleaning kit let you maintain clarity in the field, preventing dust or smudges from degrading images over long days of use.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 2.2x magnification is working after attaching the lens?

Frame a distant object, take a test shot, and compare the field of view to the same scene without the attachment; the subject should appear 2.2 times closer.

What comes in the kit and what must I supply myself?

The kit includes the 58mm 2.2x telephoto attachment lens, a carrying case, front and rear caps, 100 lens tissues, and a 3-piece cleaning kit with fluid, cloth, and cotton swabs; you must provide a Canon DSLR lens that has a 58mm filter thread.

Which thread size should I choose for my Canon EOS 750D kit lens?

Select the 58mm version only if your current lens shows a 58mm filter diameter symbol on its barrel; the 52mm size will not fit a 58mm thread.
