12U open frame server rack

This 12U open frame rack holds servers, UPS units, patch panels and switches in a four-post steel frame. Adjustable depth ranges from 22 to 40 inches with one-inch increment markings. The unit measures 23.5 inches wide by 28.3 inches high including casters and offers 21 inches of internal usable space.

Adjustable depth and mobility kit

Depth adjustment lets the frame match equipment from 22 to 40 inches deep without tools. Four 2-inch casters roll on varied flooring and the included leveling feet convert the cart to a stationary platform when needed. All mounting hardware and step-by-step instructions ship in the box.

1200 lb capacity for dense deployments

Solid steel construction supports up to 1200 lbs of rack-mounted gear, suiting dense server or networking clusters. Buyers needing enclosed sides, lockable doors or deeper bays beyond 40 inches should consider a cabinet-style enclosure instead.

Questions about this item

What parts of the 12U open frame rack might need replacement after extended use?

The four 2-inch casters and the included leveling feet are the only moving or contact components that can wear over time; the solid steel frame and fixed rails have no serviceable parts.

Which limit will be reached first when the rack is fully loaded and moved daily?

The 1200 lb weight capacity is the primary structural limit; exceeding it risks frame deformation, while the 2-inch casters determine how easily the loaded unit rolls across different floor surfaces.

Does the open frame design generate any noise or heat of its own during all-day operation?

The rack itself produces no noise or heat — it is a passive steel frame. Equipment airflow is unrestricted, so any sound or thermal output comes only from the installed servers and networking gear.
