  • Dark grey jacket provides clean appearance in visible installations

Product and purpose

This bulk Cat5e cable provides 500 ft of unshielded twisted-pair wire for custom indoor network runs. It suits installers who need to cut and terminate exact lengths for patch or crossover cables. The solid 24 AWG conductors use copper-clad aluminium construction and come in a pull-box for easy dispensing.

Setup checks

Verify that your installation does not require UL, NEC, ETL or TIA listed cable, because this CCA construction carries none of those certifications. Confirm that Power over Ethernet will not be used on these runs, as the supplier warns against CCA for PoE applications. Ensure the environment is indoor only, matching the cable's intended use.

Who it suits

This roll fits budget-conscious projects that need long, customisable indoor links without PoE or regulatory listings. It is not for buyers who need certified cable for code compliance, PoE-powered devices, outdoor or plenum-rated installations, or shielded protection against electromagnetic interference.
