Modular acoustic panels for shared spaces

The VIVO Modular Hanging Acoustic Panels arrive as a four-pack of light gray polyester fiberboard panels designed to reduce background noise in offices and public work areas. Each panel measures 45.3 inches wide by 23.6 inches high and is 0.4 inches thick. The system assembles to a total height of 94.5 inches, creating a floating partition that adds both acoustic control and visual privacy between workstations.

Sustained noise reduction across the workday

The dense 0.4-inch fiberboard material continuously absorbs sound energy rather than reflecting it, so the panels maintain their quieting effect throughout extended periods of conversation, typing and equipment hum. Because the panels hang freely on 6.6-foot cables, the air gap behind them contributes to consistent low-frequency absorption without any moving parts or power requirements that could degrade over time.

Cable length and mounting surfaces set

The 6.6-foot cable run limits how far below the ceiling the partition can hang, so rooms with very high ceilings may not reach the desired divider height. Installation is specified for drywall or wood substrates only; the included anchors support those two surface types, so concrete, plaster or suspended-grid ceilings would require separate hardware not provided in the pack.

Questions about this item

How much noise and heat do the 0.4 in thick polyester fiberboard panels add when they hang all day?

The 0.4 in thick PET panels are passive sound absorbers with no moving parts, so they generate no noise or heat during continuous use.

What mounting surface and hardware must I already have to install the 79.3 in cables on ceiling or wall?

You need a drywall or wood ceiling or wall; drywall anchors and wood screws are included, but you must supply a drill and appropriate drill bits.

Will the 94.5 in tall assembled panels work alongside my existing desk-height partitions without blocking airflow?

The panels hang from 6.6 ft cables, leaving open space beneath the 94.5 in height, so they do not restrict airflow around lower furniture.
