What this switch does

The Vszerda 2-in-1-out KVM switch lets you operate two source devices from a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. It accepts two HDMI 2.1 inputs and two USB-C inputs, plus four USB 3.0 ports for peripherals, and sends one HDMI 2.1 signal to the display. The aluminium-alloy unit measures 111.8 x 63.2 x 24.5 mm and supports HDCP 2.3.

Who it suits and who it does not

It suits anyone who needs to share one screen and input set between two computers, laptops or game consoles and wants plug-and-play switching by button or hotkey. It does not suit setups that require more than two source ports, need DisplayPort connectivity, or demand video formats beyond the listed HDMI 2.1 capabilities.

The deciding specification

The single figure that determines fit is the maximum supported video mode: 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz over HDMI 2.1. If your display and sources target higher refresh rates at 8K, or rely on a different video interface, this switch will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

What cables and accessories come in the box with the Vszerda 8K KVM switch?

The unit itself is supplied; HDMI 2.1 cables, USB-C cables and USB 3.0 cables for the two computers must be purchased separately.

Should I use the HDMI 2.1 or USB-C inputs for my 4K 120 Hz gaming monitor?

Both HDMI 2.1 ports and both USB-C inputs support 4K at 120 Hz, so choose whichever matches your computer’s video output.

Will the advertised 8K 60 Hz work on my 1080p 240 Hz display?

Yes, the switch passes 1080p at 240 Hz as well as 8K at 60 Hz, adapting automatically to the monitor’s native resolution.
