Two-port DP 1.2 KVM for dual computers

This KVM switch lets two DisplayPort-equipped computers share one 4K monitor, keyboard, mouse and four USB 2.0 peripherals. It targets home-office users who need to toggle between a laptop and a desktop without unplugging cables. The unit includes two 1.5 m USB KVM cables for immediate connection.

Sustained 4K 60 Hz switching with EDID memory

Compliant with DP 1.2, the switch maintains 3840x2160@60 Hz 4:4:4 through extended sessions and remembers monitor parameters to minimise resolution renegotiation. Downward compatibility covers 1080p, 720p and legacy interlaced modes at 480 and 576 lines. Switching takes one to three seconds via front push-button or wired remote.

Compact metal chassis with four USB 2.0 ports

The enclosure provides four USB 2.0 ports for sharing printers, scanners, webcams or hubs between both machines. A 5 V / 1 A power adapter is required but not supplied, and the manufacturer advises keeping DisplayPort cables at or below 1.5 m for reliable operation.

Questions about this item

Does the Vszerda DP 1.2 KVM switch need a fan or external power to run all day without overheating?

It is powered by a 5 V / 1 A adapter (not included) and has no fan; the compact design runs cool under normal desktop use.

Which cables and adapters must I already own to connect two computers and one 4K monitor?

You need two DisplayPort 1.2 or 1.4 cables (each ≤ 1.5 m) for the video links and a 5 V / 1 A power adapter; the box supplies two 1.5 m USB KVM cables for keyboard, mouse and the four USB 2.0 peripheral ports.

Will my older 1080p or 1440p monitor work correctly through the DP 1.2 switch alongside a newer 4K@60 Hz display?

Yes — the switch is downward compatible with 1080p, 720p, 576p, 480p and interlaced variants, and it reads and remembers each monitor’s EDID to minimise resolution changes when switching.
