A KVM switch lets two computers share three USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C port with a single button press
The Vszerda KVM switch lets two computers share three USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C port. It is aimed at home or office users who want to keep a printer, scanner, mouse, keyboard or storage drive connected while moving between a Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS machine. A push button on the unit selects the active computer and an LED shows which one is live. No driver installation is required for the supported operating systems.
Verify that each computer has a free USB-A port for the upstream cables and that your peripherals use USB-A or USB-C connectors matching the four downstream ports. The switch draws 5 volts from the host connection and includes a separate micro-USB power input for devices that need extra current such as hard drives or SSDs. Ensure the combined power draw of attached peripherals does not exceed what the host and optional power input can supply.
The four downstream ports operate at up to 5 Gbps and are backward compatible with USB 2.0. During long file copies the switch maintains the USB 3.0 signalling rate without thermal throttling because it has no active cooling and a low 0.29 kilogram chassis. The push-button switching is instantaneous and does not interrupt transfers on the inactive computer, so background jobs continue while you work on the other system.

The switch has a micro-USB port for optional external power and connects to each computer with a USB cable; cables for the two host computers and any peripheral cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
Use the USB-C port for devices with a USB-C connector such as newer flash drives or SSDs; connect keyboards, mice, printers, scanners or card readers to the three USB 3.0 Type-A ports — all four ports share the same 5 Gbps bandwidth.
The 5 Gbps rating is the theoretical maximum for USB 3.0; real-world file-transfer speeds will be lower and depend on the drive, the host controller and system overhead, but the switch does not reduce the USB 3.0 link below its standard performance.
