Questions about this item

Will the front-panel switch button wear out from daily switching?

The front switch button is rated for normal daily use; if it ever fails the unit has no user-serviceable parts and would need full replacement.

What limits continuous 4K 60 Hz output over HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4?

The HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 ports both support 4K at 60 Hz; the first limit is the 100 W power budget shared across both USB-C PD ports.

How hot does the KVM get and how much power does it draw when both laptops stay connected all day?

The switch draws power from the attached laptops via the 100 W USB-C PD ports and runs passively cooled with no fan.
