What it does and who needs it

This Vszerda KVM switch lets four computers share two DisplayPort monitors, one keyboard, one mouse and three USB 3.0 peripherals. It suits users who run multiple systems side by side and want a single, tidy desktop without unplugging cables. Each computer must support dual-display output to use both monitor ports.

Behaviour under sustained load

The switch passes DisplayPort 1.2 signals at up to 18 Gbps, maintaining 4K at 60 Hz across both screens during long sessions. USB 3.0 ports deliver up to 5 Gbps for connected devices, well above the 480 Mbps ceiling of USB 2.0. No signal degradation is reported when all four sources remain active for extended periods.

Thermals, noise and power

The unit is passively cooled with no fans, so it adds no audible noise to the workspace. Power is drawn from the attached computers through the DisplayPort and USB connections; no external power supply is required. The compact metal enclosure stays at ambient temperature during normal operation.

Questions about this item

Does the unit get noisy or hot when all four computers are running all day?

The KVM is a passive switch with no fan or active cooling, so it adds no audible noise and only minimal heat from signal processing.

What cables or ports must my four computers already have to use the dual-monitor and USB 3.0 features?

Each computer needs two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs and a USB 3.0 Type-A port; the switch provides three shared USB 3.0 downstream ports for keyboard, mouse and peripherals.

Will my older 1080p monitors work alongside the 4K 60 Hz capability?

Yes — the switch supports 1080p at 60 Hz and lower resolutions, so legacy monitors display correctly while newer ones run at 4K 60 Hz.
