HDMI 4K 60 Hz interface limits

Video output reaches 4096×2160 or 3840×2160 at 60 Hz. USB data travels over USB 3.0, which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0. Audio signals share the same USB 3.0 cables used for keyboard and mouse traffic.

Check your ports and cables before ordering

Each computer needs an HDMI output and a USB 3.0 port for the supplied cables. Verify that your monitors accept 4K at 60 Hz over HDMI. A spare DC 5 V 2 A power outlet is required for the included adapter.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the four-port model or a smaller switch for fewer computers?

This unit handles four computers with one monitor, keyboard and mouse. If you only need to control two systems, a two-port switch would be simpler.

What does 4K 60Hz mean for my daily work?

It supports 3840x2160 at 60Hz and 4096x2160 at 60Hz, so you get smooth 4K video on a single display without dropouts.

How does the USB 3.0 hub limit real-world transfer speed?

The two extra USB 3.0 ports run at up to 5Gbps, which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0, so external drives and peripherals transfer at full USB 3.0 speed.
