What it does

This Vszerda adapter converts analogue component YPbPr or RGB video plus stereo LPCM audio into a single HDMI 1.4 signal. It lets owners of legacy DVD players, satellite boxes or consoles such as Xbox One connect to modern HDTVs, monitors or projectors that only accept digital HDMI input.

Direction matters

The device is a one-way component-to-HDMI converter; it cannot pass an HDMI source to a component display. Buyers whose equipment only provides composite RCA or SCART outputs will not get a picture from this unit.
