SKU CH-KF70-YP8ZN

Six DB9 gender changers — two female-to-female, two male-to-male and two female-to-male — let you join any 9-pin RS-232 cable or device without soldering or drivers

  • Connect any 9-pin serial cable regardless of gender using the six-adapter kit
  • Nickel-plated, precision connectors resist corrosion for lossless signal and long life
  • Plug-and-play operation needs no driver and no soldering for quick setup
  • Works with PC, modem, printer, scanner, cashier and POS equipment
  • 2 female-female, 2 male-male and 2 female-male adapters cover every connection need

Six-piece DB9 gender-changer kit

The set supplies two female-to-female, two male-to-male and two female-to-male couplers so any combination of 9-pin serial cables or devices can be joined without soldering or drivers. It is aimed at installers and technicians who maintain legacy RS-232 links on PCs, modems, printers, scanners, cash registers or POS terminals.

Nickel-plated contacts and mixed-gender assortment

Precision-machined, nickel-plated shells resist corrosion and preserve signal integrity across every connection. Because each gender pairing is included, a single pack covers straight-through, crossover and extension scenarios, eliminating the need to source separate adapters for different port orientations.

Handles standard DB9 RS-232 links only

Each coupler measures 1.26 by 0.71 by 0.51 inches and accepts only 9-pin DB9 connectors; 15-pin HD15 and 25-pin DB25 cables are not supported. The six adapters provide enough headroom for a small rack or bench of serial gear, but larger deployments will require additional packs.

Questions about this item

Do the nickel-plated DB9 contacts need any periodic cleaning or replacement?

The nickel-plated, precision-made connectors are built for corrosion protection and long use, so no routine cleaning or replacement is required.

Which pin count stops these adapters from working with other cables?

They only support 9-pin DB9 RS-232 cables and will not connect 15-pin HD15 or 25-pin DB25 cables.

Will the six adapters generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when left connected all day?

As passive couplers with no active electronics, they produce no heat and consume no power during continuous use.
