8-Port HDMI KVM Switch

The Vszerda MT-801HK-C connects eight computers or servers to a single monitor, keyboard and mouse. It includes eight 2-in-1 USB HDMI cables, a wired desktop controller and an IR remote for immediate setup. Four integrated USB 2.0 ports support peripherals such as printers or wireless keyboard-and-mouse combos.

Server rooms and multi-system workstations

This switch suits administrators who manage several headless machines from one console. It also works with game consoles and media players that output HDMI. Buyers who need switching at 4K 60 Hz or require hotkey commands should look elsewhere, as the unit tops out at 30 Hz and lacks hotkey support.

Maximum video resolution 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz

The single specification that decides fit is the 4K 30 Hz ceiling. If the connected displays and sources operate at 1080p or lower the switch handles them without issue. Any workflow that demands 4K 60 Hz or higher refresh rates cannot use this model.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1.5 m or 1.8 m cables for my rack?

The package includes four 1.5 m and four 1.8 m USB HDMI KVM cables so you can match each cable to the distance from the switch to that computer.

What does 4K @30 Hz mean when I connect a monitor?

The switch passes up to 3840×2160 resolution at 30 Hz, so 4K content displays correctly but the refresh rate is limited to 30 frames per second.

Which USB standard do the four hub ports use?

The built-in hub provides four USB 2.0 ports for keyboard, mouse, printer or other USB 2.0 devices.
