Controls four computers from one keyboard, mouse and dual HDMI monitors with 4K 30 Hz video, managed copy-paste, front USB 3.0 ports and independent audio switching
The Avocent SV340H-001 lets one operator command four separate computers from a single keyboard, mouse and two HDMI monitors. It is built for desk-bound workflows where frequent context switching between isolated systems slows productivity. Front-panel USB 3.0 ports add shared peripheral access and device charging without extra hubs.
Moving from a single-monitor KVM or a two-port switch adds a second display and doubles the number of managed computers in one step. The jump is worth it when daily tasks span four distinct machines and require simultaneous visibility across dual 4K outputs at 30 Hz or dual-link DVI at 60 Hz. Audio and USB streams can stay locked to one system while video focus shifts to another.
The unit measures 2.20 by 13.70 by 5.00 inches and weighs 3.70 lbs, fitting a standard desk footprint with an internal 35 W supply that accepts 100 to 240 V AC. Each computer needs its own HDMI and USB cables to the rear ports, while the console side uses two HDMI 1.4 inputs and a USB Type-A connection. Operating range spans 0 to 40 °C with humidity up to 80 percent non-condensing.

The unit measures 13.70 inches deep by 5.00 inches wide and 2.20 inches high, so it fits on most standard shelves.
No driver installation is required; switching is done via the front-panel push buttons and the switch emulates keyboard and mouse for zero-delay transitions.
The three front-facing USB 3.0 ports are integrated into the chassis and are not designed as user-replaceable modules.
