8K HDMI Bi-Directional Switch

The Vszerda 8K HDMI Bi-Directional Video Switch is a compact audio/video switch that lets you route signals two ways: connect two sources to one display or one source to two displays. It suits home-theatre owners and gamers who need to share a single 8K screen between a console and a streaming box, or send a PC signal to both a monitor and a projector. Only one output is active at a time.

48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 Bandwidth

The single specification that decides compatibility is the 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 bandwidth rating. It carries 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz with HDR, Dolby Vision, HDCP 2.2 and 2.3, plus high-bitrate audio formats such as DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X. If your source or display requires more bandwidth than 48 Gbps, this switch will not pass the signal.

8K 60 Hz and 4K 120 Hz Headroom

The switch comfortably handles 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz on cables up to 3 metres per side, powered by the included HDMI 8K cable and an optional micro-USB feed for marginal power situations. The PI3HDX1221 chip performs 12 000 operations per second and checks temperature 14 times per second to prevent flicker. It runs out of headroom beyond 48 Gbps or with cable runs longer than 3 metres.
